Delete your Taiju account

You can delete your Taiju account and all of its data at any time, either in the app or by email. Deletion is permanent and can’t be undone.
In the app (quickest)
- Open Taiju and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm with your password, or by choosing your Google account if you signed in with Google.
Your account and data are deleted straight away. To keep a copy first, use Profile → Export data.
By email (without the app)
- Email support@shakulabs.com with the subject “Delete my Taiju account”.
- Send it from the email address you use for Taiju, so we can confirm the account is yours. If you can’t, tell us the address and we’ll reply to it to check.
- We’ll delete the account and its data within 30 days, usually much sooner, and email you when it’s done.
What gets deleted
- Your account: your name, email address and sign-in details.
- All your weigh-ins and their dates.
- Your goal weight, height and unit setting.
What’s kept, and for how long
- Shaku Labs keeps none of your Taiju data after deletion. Google, which hosts it, may hold it in encrypted backup systems for a short period before it’s overwritten.
- If you asked by email, we keep that email conversation as a record of your request.
- Any file you exported yourself stays wherever you saved it.
Good to know
- Uninstalling Taiju or signing out doesn’t delete your account.
- Deleting your Taiju account doesn’t affect your Google account. If you signed in with Google, you can also remove Taiju’s access in your Google account’s security settings.
