Taiju privacy policy
Last updated 28 October 2026
In short: Taiju doesn’t collect, send or share your personal data. Everything you enter stays on your phone.
Who makes Taiju
Taiju is made by Shaku Labs, a business based in Melbourne, Australia. If you have a question about this policy or your data, email support@shakulabs.com.
What Taiju stores on your phone
- Your weight entries and the dates they’re for.
- Profile details you choose to enter, such as your starting weight, goal weight and height.
- App settings, such as light or dark theme.
Taiju uses this information only to show your history, charts, trend, goal progress and BMI. It’s kept in the app’s private storage on your phone, which other apps can’t read.
What Taiju doesn’t do
- It has no accounts and no sign-in.
- It doesn’t connect to the internet, so it can’t send your data anywhere.
- It has no ads, analytics, crash reporting or third-party tracking.
- Shaku Labs never receives, sells or shares your data.
Phone backups
Taiju supports Android’s built-in backup. If backup is turned on for your phone, Android may include Taiju’s data in your phone’s backup, stored in your Google account under Google’s privacy policy, and restore it when you set up a new phone. Shaku Labs can’t see these backups. You can turn backup on or off in your phone’s settings.
Exporting your data
You can export your history as a CSV spreadsheet file from Profile. Taiju only does this when you ask, and you choose where the file goes. Once you share it with another app or person, their privacy practices apply to that copy.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your phone until you delete it. You can delete single entries in History, or remove everything by clearing Taiju’s storage in your phone’s settings or uninstalling the app. Shaku Labs keeps no copy, so there’s nothing else to delete.
Who Taiju is for
Taiju is designed for adults and isn’t directed at children under 13. It’s a tracking tool, not a medical device, and doesn’t give medical advice.
Changes to this policy
If a future version adds features that handle data differently, such as sign-in or cloud sync, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
