About Shaku Labs

A small studio that builds software for small businesses, with the engineering background to connect it to the physical world.

Shaku Labs is run by Udana Jayasekara. You talk to the person who designs and builds your project, from the first call to the monthly improvements after launch.

Most web studios stop at the screen. Shaku Labs started from the other end: circuit boards, sensors, production lines. That means a website or app can connect to real equipment when your business needs it, and the software side is built with the same care as hardware that has to work first time.

The name comes from the shaku, a traditional Japanese unit of length still used by carpenters. The logo is a carpenter’s square with ruler marks rising along it: careful measurement and steady improvement.

Shaku Labs is based in Melbourne, Australia and works with businesses across Australia and overseas, including current work in Sri Lanka.
